North York Academy offers high school and summer courses designed and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. North York Academy graduates are awarded the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

North York Academy offers high school and summer courses designed and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. North York Academy graduates are awarded the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requires the completion of:
- a minimum of 30 credits, including 18 compulsory and 12 optional
- 40 hours of community involvement activities
- the literacy requirement
In order to complete the academic requirements for an OSSD, each student must complete 18 compulsory credits plus one credit from each of the following groups and 12 optional credits.
